  • Congrats! And welcome to Linux! Your one of the few and the proud. :-) Enjoy your experience. If you need any help feel free to message me.

  • thanks im lovin linux, its a huge learning experience for me, but once you learn how to do things there are no limitations, I even got crysis to run, but there are huge graphical glitches, but sooner then later i'm sure wine will run it perfectly.

  • Great video Aussie! What video editing program do you use in Ubuntu?

  • I've seen several tutorials for smoke in Blender, but none that show how to render the smoke with shaded highlights where the smoke would recieve light and none for how to make the smoke cast a shadow.

  • @xBTxCrazy wah, wah, wah priiittt priiitttt,,,, cyeeeeeee

  • Whats weird is: When I was trying to make a Nuke in blender, I accidentally made it a smoke grenade with a shockwave of black clouds, and the smoke was quite detailed, Im going on this tut to see what I did wrong on my Nuke. :P

  • is this blender 2.5?

  • @sammich003 to get faster particle movement add to the normal and object. if you meant by dodgy that you only get slow particle movement on one part of the plane at a time i had the same problem. I tried this same tutorial without subdividing and it worked great for me. I got smoke coming up from the entire mesh.

  • This is a good tutorial, however i am working with blender 2.49 and after i change the dampening to .188 there is hardly any particle movement at all. i've tried all different settings and all stats add up exept dampening. no matter how i set it, i get a dodgy outcome. can anyone help?

  • mnt (mutant ninja turtles) haha 8:00

  • what version of blender myne doesent have this dephysics

  • Cool I am amazed that there are so many Linux users. Mac and Windows suck.
