UNLIKE U melts into a scene, which for outsiders, is hard to comprehend. The world of trainwriters, those spray paint artists who specialize in painting trams and underground trains. The film makers have worked on this documentation for over 7 years and have thus established a good relationship in the scene, which can be decribed as a 'closed party'. The intensity with which these artists live their passion is fascinating, but the film also shows the radical determination which one needs to poses in order to lead this lifestyle. Extremely undercover. Extremely criminal. Extremely forbidden.

UNLIKE U taucht in eine Szene ein, die für Außenstehende schlichtweg nicht nachvollziehbar ist. Es ist die Welt der Trainwriter, derjenigen Graffitikünstler also, die sich auf das Bemalen von S- und U-Bahnen spezialisiert haben.
Über sieben Jahre arbeiteten die Filmemacher an dieser Dokumentation und erarbeiteten sich so das Vertrauen einer Szene, die man durchaus als geschlossene Gesellschaft bezeichnen könnte. Die Intensität, mit der diese Künstler ihre Passion leben ist faszinierend, und der Film zeigt auch die Radikalität, die man besitzen muss, um ein solches Leben zu führen. Extrem verdeckt.
