The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim How to Clear a bounty and escape Jail!

This video shows how you can clear your bounty so any crimes are forgiven and citizens will stop trying to kill you. It also shows how you can escape jail for the achievement if you so choose.

Problem is if you either pay your bounty, or go to jail, you lose your stolen stuff, is there a way to get this stuff back?

@realrat666 Yes in the jail there will be an evidence locker. Search that and you'll find your items.

@100noahpratt exit the town completely and run far enough away that they stop chasing. Rest for 24 hours and then go back. If you are in riverwood and its the citizens trying to kill you, then you need to go to whiterun to clear it.

good i didn't know i could check my bounty until now. whiterun attacked me for no reason though so i went on a rampage in that city so i hope my bounty isn't to high cus i can't get a quest story line complete cus of the assholes in whiterun. riften did the same thing to me for no reason at all attack me. i broke out of jail and still whiterun assholes attack me whiterun and riften deserves to be wiped clean by dragons.

I've got like 45 bounty in Whiterun and all I did was kill a god damn chicken.... And every time I try and get arrested they try and kill me advice?

why oh why was there not an easter egg installed where you can shoot a guard in the knee and they automatically stop chasing you?

@icardozo23 if your bounty is very low (25 or below, not sure if its higher), just walk around. Guards will say "I know you" or something along those lines. Just bluff your way out, asking if they have the time for it. usually they'll just tell you to be careful.

@echosofthedeep walk into town unarmed. Save beforehand. It should work.
