Copenhagen, Dec 12, 2009 Helen Caldicott spoke inside the Bella Center at the COP 15 meetings describing the problems with nuclear power, including the health effects of radiation and nuclear proliferation. Part 1 of 3.
@kirkalx27 So because she's on your side, it's ok that she says things over and over again that are not true and doesn't have a clue what she's talking about as long as she makes it sound dangerous, but someone with years of experience in the field who routinely presents facts supporting his case is automatically dumber than the average 5 year old?
The ideology of the antinuke never ceases to amaze me. Never has a better example of intentional, woeful ignorance been better demonstrated.
@gamble180 Are you mentally disabled? Maybe the radiation has killed your brain cells because radiation isn't good for the human body or the planet and for anyone to think it is is a fucking idiot or being paid very well. Who the hell are you to question someone of her caliber? She is spreading TRUTH not fear you moron, you're spreading ignorance.
@kirkalx27 No, she really doesn't. She pretends to be a Doctor, but she hasn't treated a patient for decades (if ever). She is a proffesional activist who frightens children for money.
I work at a nuclear reactor & my life was saved by medical radiation. I'm living proof that radiation is nowhere near as dangerous as this lunatic claims. So are millions of airline workers, doctors, nurses, members of the military, and nuclear workers who are exposed to radiation and are perfectly healthy.
Helen Caldicott knows her stuff regardless of the critics. As far as being qualified to speak on the issue, the average 5 year old has more sense than any so-called "expert" that will tell us that it's ok to kill ourselves as a species using a form of energy that is inherently deadly. Common sense should be the expert we listen to. By the way, there is a saying, a live dog is better than a dead lion. Helen is on the side of life, that is sanity, that is expert.

@oleainatoivo When the whole of what you know is bullshit, knowing more is not a quality I would tout.

@gamble180 Lets just say, she knows MORE than YOU do. She certainly IS qualified.

She isn't qualified to talk about nuclear power. Its obvious from what she says that she has no clue what she's talking about.
