There is probably a way to get it operable, when you get it take some pics and all of it and maybe I could point you in the right direction to fix it.

by the way how exzactly did you restore it just a new paint job cuz myne accidentally got a paint job so now the base of the stand is half white

I took it completely apart, painted each part and re-assembled it.
