This calm, ambient mash-up fuses the End of the World theme from Kingdom Hearts with the Underwater Frigate theme from Metroid Prime.
Become immersed in the forever spanning emptiness...

These are original game music tracks edited together. I've not composed any of the music myself.

This mix is intended strictly for background ambience. Therefore, it does not repeat itself in exactly the same way at any point.

What this means is that while the original themes will contain simple chords and rhythms, one track will never play the with the exact same measure of the other track twice.
The song always changes in a very subtle manner.

There are a few instances where I couldn't decide if I was hearing dissonance. However, both songs are in the same key signature and I couldn't isolate those instances, so I ultimately decided that this sounded suitable.
I've edited a couple of areas that helped maintain the harmony, though the mix was generally very easy to do.

I hope you enjoy it!

  • Of all the mixes you do, I prefer the more peaceful and calming ones. Eh... The stresses of life... gotta have something to calm me down. Guess your mixes qualify as my stress ball. :3

    (That was a compliment. o_O)

  • @MaskedMystery3874 I prefer calming music too. More than happy to share, believe me. :)

  • @ratlover523 Heh. 10 hour version? What was the backdrop? A monk temple? (That would be an awesome temple, btw) Permission granted. If you're able to pull it off, I'll go check it out..

  • @toomuchcoffee1 I think those songs sound too similar. To mix them doesn't really add anything to each other. I chose Frigate with End of the World because: a) unlike Chozo Temple, the key never changes and mixes more harmoniously b) Frigate adds organic sound effects and piano to EotW's Choir and synth bells, which neither song contains on their own.

  • @11Itachirox No worries, man. It's going up tonight. Rest assured. :)

  • @OverlordLS Thanks for being patient. The project is already underway. It's one that I find I have to step away and come back to to keep my ideas fresh. Most of my megamixes are like that. It is in production though.

  • @WindStrike334 Actually no. It's a joke on cartoon characters showing surprise by literally allowing their bottom jaw to dislocate and hit the floor with a resounding *THUNNNNN.* That might actually be a good idea, though...

  • Hm... I haven't requested a mix in... Ever... I think... I don't remember. o_O

Have you ever considered doing a mix of the Imago theme in Metroid Zero Mission (I think that's what that larva, hornet turning thing is. :P) with the Spore Spawn theme? They sound incredibly similar. I'm guessing they're supposed to be remixes of each other.

  • Amazing as always. I feel the need to make a 10 hour version of this. Permission required though.

  • @Mber7560 Jaws music + Let the Bodies Hit the Floor? IT MUST BE DONE.

  • @Hauntershadow it would have been better if the frigate was replaced with the chozo temple area from metroid prime.
