Anniversary poem for the Tower of Breda by Marianna Geraci.
In July 2009 there was the five hundredth anniversary of the Tower of Breda. For this special occasion a few poets from Breda., Netherlands, were asked to write a special anniversary poem AND read it from the top of the tower to the audience on the ground. Dutch poet and vocalist Marianna Geraci was one of the poets invited and in action.

The climb was really A CLIMB, but worthwile.
The poem is about reaching the (ultimate) view and, at the same time, the ultimate insight.
In the poem the tower has become a cold, sharp bride, longing for the sun and the freshness of air, which have always been hers in the end.
The video is a mix of live recorded material and material made in my studio.
