How To: Solo Anzu Mount as Mage

How to solo Anzu for Raven mount. (Note: You must be honored with the Lower City to do Herioc Setthek Halls. To gain rep simply solo normal mode over and over.)

This is being done from a mage point of view. Mage is a hard class to solo with due to little to no healing and fast deaths. Other classes can easily do this by just killing the guards that I skip by as a mage. Below is the boss strategy as a Frost Mage. I found other specs to not work as well.

Boss Strategy:

There are two main phases to this fight. Normal phase, which is when you fight him one on one. Plain and simple. He will go into an invisible phase twice. During this phase he summons birds that you must kill.

Start by getting your pet to attack him and then running into a position where you have some distance on him. Remember to have ice barrier and mana shield up. At this point use icy veins but NOT mirror images and DPS him down. He will quickly fall to 60% with a few frostbolts/ice lances/deepfreeze.

When the birds come make sure you rebuff ice barrier and mana shield if it fell off. Bring your pet back to you so that the birds dont attack your pet far from you, you want them to stack on you. Once they all land frost nova them and blink away. From here blizzard them down.

Once the boss is active again use mirror images, cold snap and icy veins burst him down again. Try to get him to below 50k health before he goes invisible again.

The second bird phase is the exact same. Stack your pets on you and rebuff shields. When they land, nova and blink away. Simply blizzard them down again.

When he becomes active he will have really low health, simply burst him and finish him off here. Cross fingers and hope mount drops. Good Luck.

Can you please explain to me how the talent early frost is working exactly, cause to me it looks that it reduces the cast time by 0.7 sec only to your first frostbolt and next have the normal casting time. Is it that useful in pvp?
