NORFOLK (May 16, 2011) The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) returns to Naval Station Norfolk after completing a nine-month deployment. Kearsarge was the command ship of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and supported maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
