Final Fantasy 7 - Mako Cannon vs Weapon

After the team defeats Weapon it continues its charge towards Midgar however by this time the cannon is ready and following the "Fire" command from Rufus the cannon is powered up and launched, however Weapon launches its own payload towards Midgar as well. The Mako shell goes right through Weapon defeating it and continues onward and collides with the barrier at the Northern Cave successfully destroying the barrier, however Weapon's energy that was fired in the other direction has reached Midgar and one of the shots collides with the Shinra building presumably killing President Rufus.
