Death Row Exonerees John Thompson and Ryan Matthews share their stories of wrongful conviction in the state of Louisiana, and life after release. John Thompson, founder of Resurrection After Exoneration, shares his journey with other Louisiana exonerees in starting the country's first exoneree-led service and public education nonprofit determined to helping others who were wrongfully convicted.
Okay, so the Innocent Project finally gets you exonerated!!! You walk out of prison, with the biggest smile on your face and the first couple of days are the best ever. However, thereof, reality sets in you begin to wonder, "Now what"!! I have no career or real future in place. In fact, I'm even lucky to have a place to stay for the night!! From news articles, parolees actually get more public support than the exonerated. Is that fair? Well, life isn't usually fair! What a WORLD!!
