Yes, Helen was a real pioneer and great Martial Artist. She developed a "get in shape" program called "Defensersize" years before Cardio Kick Boxing came into vogue. She was one of the best! Innovative and creative, a real competitor! She currently is semi-retired GM Ron Balas

How is Helen doing today, some thirty-seven years later? Has she hung up her gi? She must be very pleased to see how things have changed for women in martial arts. She's quite the pioneer.
