After Sgt. David Aguina asks daily kos panel why the number of deaths has declined since the surge started in Iraq, his mic is cut and he is scolded for making a "political" comment while in uniform. Translation: daily kos kooks simply don't want to hear any good news from Iraq. God Bless Free Speech.

  • Free speech is a great thing,as long as you agree with them. The commisar approved this message.

  • He's defending a record of fact on behalf of the military. Nothing political there. That's like saying the sky is blue and the red-sky idiots cry "politics" in order to dismiss it. I think the words "common sense" have been erased from the dictionary.

  • The moderator shouldn't have acted that way.

The sergeant said that Iraqi casualties had gone down since the surge.

This is true - but it doesn't mean that the surge caused the reduction in casualties.

Segregation of Sunni and Shia neighborhoods in Baghdad and around Iraq contributed to the reduction in casualties.

Pacts between the US and Sunni militia contributed to the reduction in casualties.

Finally, casualties in 2005 were incredibly high - remember explosions at markets and mosques?

  • You're forgetting that the loons over at the Daily Kos are equal-opportunity discriminators. Since people are given the power (based on popularity) to delete and ban at will, you can get booted just for breathing.

  • Don't be fooled. The far left liberals don't care though when the uniform is worn in anti-war protests. The Sgt. probably wasn't planning on speaking but then, when he heard the panel denegrate him and this country, he spoke up. Which is more than people can do on Daily Kos where you get literally banned for expressing a polite opinion.

  • Ya, that guy did dodge the question. The sgt asking the question was on shaky ground by speaking in public in uniform though. He really needs permission from superiors to speak in public with the uniform on.

He did have a good point about the situation in Iraq and was just stating facts so I hope he doesn't get into trouble over this. If I was in uniform at a meeting of left wingers I would have trouble staying quiet as well. Left wing nut jobs hate when they are presented facts.

  • Are you insinuating that minorities were denied access to this panel?

  • Why didn't the guy at the panel answer the Sgt's question? It's a simple question. Even if the guy was 'breaking the law' by wearing the uniform there and making a "political" statement, the fact is, the guy on stage dodged the question and refused to answer for superficial reasons because he was afraid he'd have to admit he got his facts wrong.

  • The Communists/Terrorists at the Daily Kos represent 1% of the American public. And that 1% is located entirely in San Francisoe.

P.S How many minorities appeared at the Yearly Kos? Zero!

  • Daily Kos are fags and communist loving brats!!!!
