  • CBET TV 9 Windsor !

  • Wow, someone had a sign that predicted Philly in the Cup finals! Too bad the Wings didn't make it past Edmonton, but they just weren't ready yet. (It'd have been nice if they were ready in 1988... but, hey, they got there eventually!)

  • This was the greatest time in my love of hockey and the beginning of Red Wings rebirth. Great memories.

  • HOLY SHIT SCOTTY BOWMAN....

Little did he know 10 years from then that he would be lifting the cup IN THE CITY OF DETROIT MICHIGAN.

  • @TUdaToken Scotty Bowman had been a commentator on CBC in between his stint in Buffalo right up until he joined the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1990-91,the year they won their first Stanley Cup.

  • @kyojikasshu It didn't hurt that it was Jacques Demers who played a large role in putting the Detroit Red Wings back on the NHL map.

  • Bob Cole what a classic. " Dee-troy-at " Red Wings. LOL

  • lol scotty bowman as one of the commentators

  • @sygo7g Meh, same thing....LOL...no worries.

  • @sygo7g Sell the CBC? You capitalist bastard! I'm a libertarian so I agree with you. I don't know how our government can put such garbage on CBC besides sports and then make us all afraid of its sale. If that's the issue, I'd sell it, and write into the terms of sale that HNIC must be retained for 25 years - and they'd have to buy back the hockey song from CTV. Long live HNIC!
