Jessica's Story: The Tragedy of Losing a Child to Meningitis

A short film about Kelly Morgan in the UK, who talks about her
traumatic experiences of losing her beautiful daughter Jessica to
meningococcal septicaemia. This video highlights the devastation
which can be caused by meningitis and its associated forms, a disease
which has the ability to kill in under 4 hours. Meningitis can strike

Commissioned by Meningitis UK, a registered Charity in England &
Wales, Jessica's Story aims to promote awareness of this horrific
killer and highlight the need for action. Meningitis UK's sole focus
is on prevention -- finding a vaccine to eradicate meningitis. There
is currently no vaccination for Group B meningitis, the strain which
accounts for over 90% of meningitis cases in the UK, and which results
in many deaths. Meningitis UK funds research programmes across the UK
into vaccine development. We receive no government aid to do this,

i'm so sorry for your loss.. my niece just died a week ago, had everything the same as your little one, and was sent home because they thought she had da flu, and on the day she got really sick she died in hours :( i miss her heaps.. god bless you and be strong.. god won't let anything happen to them..

its a terrible thing but i can remember in school we had like at the end of the day a reading time and it was charlottes web and i asked the teacher if i could go home cause i go a sore head ache and the next day at 11 at night we were watching a movie and then i screamed and i got rushed to dumfries royal infirmary and then went to york hill and i remember a few weeks ago i burst out crying cause someone had spreaded i had meningitis and people were avoiding me. :'(
