  • Wow! how long did it take for you to learn how to do this wrap?

    Thanks

    mia

  • it didn't take long to figure out how to do it if I didn't wory about trailing the ends on the ground. after i learned how at home, it took me about two weeks of experimenting to work out how to do it while out.

  • Hi. What material is your wrap made from?

  • it's 100 % cotton

  • Awesome - very helpful - how long is this piece of cloth ~ very cute little one! thanks

  • the red one is 4.1 m long and the striped one is 3.8 m

  • @momichisan I just got a new moby wrap and was wondering why the back carrying instructions weren't in the book anymore! Good to know, maybe I'll get something else instead so I can wear my toddler on my back.

  • @chellelovestea I know this is old but I just wanted to say that baby allegedly fell out of a stretchy wrap (like the Moby). Back carries with a woven (non-stretchy) wrap such as the one in the video are very safe provided they are done correctly (spreading the cloth, making it tight, making sure it holds de baby in a proper seated position and proper support of the back). It does take practice but it's doable.

  • Definitely like how you tied it across your chest. If this carry is done properly like you have shown, I don't see how a baby could ever fall out. Women have been carrying babies like this for centuries and other than maybe double knotting that last knot, I think the instructions were great!

  • I thought a back carry would be great for my little guy and I tried it but the back support very easily works it's way down and there's nothing stopping my baby from falling out. When I researched it I realised that this is why Moby retracted the back carry and no longer prints instructions for it.

I also read an account on Babycentre by a mama who was in Wholefoods and saw a six month old baby fall out of the hold & straight onto his head, hitting the grocery shelf on the way down. No no no.

  • I'll have to give this one a try! Thanks!

  • Very nice!

  • Nice video and great demonstration.. Wish I knew about this when my kids were young. But I'll be a grandma any day now so I will try it out!! Thanks again

  • that was awesome and easy. is this same dimensions than a moby wrap?

  • Excellent! I'll try tomorrow ^^ I do it quite differently, I'm not sure my wrap is long enough to make a knot on the hips + on the chest!

Your kid is so sweet :p
