  • @the1minininja Mugging an avid cyclist, be it messenger or not, is a bad idea. I am not a messenger, but my job requires me to be on my bike for about 4-5 hours a day, and locking up sometimes dozens of times in one day. An urban cyclist's bag generally has 1 or more u-locks, tools, sometimes a knife incase of emergencies, etc. Many items that are easily and readily available for self-defense. But also, good luck catching a cyclist to begin with.

  • and what bag do you use?

  • does anyone ever try to mug you?
