Rome total war , 'rise of the empire', part 56.

Anthony attacks the Brutii forces in the mountains north of Greece, under Publius Quadrigarius, their power is waning in Europe and they are falling away into Slavic lands and away from their origins. This is one of their remaining strong armies in Europe the rest are meagre cities ready to be taken.

In the battle two cohorts under captain Oppius make an appearance to reinforce our lines in the end they tend to act as a bar to enemy routers. Given the Hellenic diversity of our forces we form line this time flanked by cavalry on both sides, the Brutii pull back and so we pursue them fast marking targets before arrival. We manage to sandwich their cavalry on the left with our own and some small units of infantry. The main part of our infantry battles in the centre in small number compared with the enemy. The swift victory on the left allows of our cavalry and the other units to move for the enemies centre flanks causing immediate rout while the enemy cohorts on the right hold well until our cavalry move in and they are overwhelmed by our infantry. The routing units are pursued by cavalry and hindered by captain Oppius. Meanwhile Publius is surrounded on the hill with Anthony charging in to squash and slay Publius and his bodyguard. Anthony and his generals rally his forces and march on Bylazora to end Brutii influence in northern Greece.

Meanwhile: Quintus Anthony attacks the detestable Nero Scipio who is backed up by the hapless Decius BUT with a huge force that could easily overwhelm our own especially with them coming from different directions and our own forces being disorganised and rough from Athens The Battle of Corinth begins.
