  • nice man.

i have the easyglider and now i will defenetly try to find the fox. its so sexy,,,,,lol

did you make the pillon or do they sell the plane like that now?

excellent idea using magnets and your rotating . Now when you are flying and want to release your fox you should turn left with the mother ship and right with the fox,,,,so cool,.

  • Hi,

I made the pylon mount from scratch, it's just balsa with shaped leading and trailing edge to cut the drag down. There's a 9g micro servo in the top. Servo and camera cables are internal to the pylon. All of this was originally to mount a camera on but then I was looking for a way to launch the Fox from height so I adapted it.

It's a nice little system and wasn't hard to make. Good luck.

  • Not really, the fox is at least 5 inches clear of the prop and is only likely to go upwards when released. I've now successfully test flown the arrangement, will get some video and update this.

  • That is wicked - i have the easyglider and the fox - i can't be bothered to do what u have done though - i can't improve on perfection! :D

  • Your Sick.. But love it.

  • wouldnt the prop catch the glider when released ?

  • Hi,

Ive had lots of luck launching the fox from another plane. But the glide is CRAP!! I have taken the electrics out of the old one, and will buy a new one. i will do this so when i get the new one; i can cut the fuse in half, and take out the foam in the middle of the fuse. It will be just as strong as it will be re-inforced with some thin carbon rod, but a ton lighter! It will be great for thermals!

Good way to mount the fox on another plane!

    Cheers,

    Sheldon

  • thanks for the info. you did a great job. looks great and very neat.

  • It may be a little dangerous with that prop rotating just behind the Fox?

    Interesting camera setup
