There are 8 hidden voices in the Hammond XK3 and XK3c. This video shows you how to get a hold of them. Special thanks to Jim Alfredson for bringing this trick to my attention. Once you unlock the hidden menu, you can tweak them to your liking and save them as presets.

I have Pan Delay enabled and I am running mono through a Roland KC 500 Stereo Keyboard Amp.

  • I'm not sure if this applies to everyone's XK3 / XK3C, but when I tried to do this, I lost all my saved presets. Happened hours before a big show and totally bummed me out. It wiped all adjusted settings and returned everything to default. My XK3C was coincidentally stolen the next day, just to add insult to injury.

    YE BE WARNED!!!

  • @BravoAlphaLimaJR I am sorry to hear of your troubles... I have done this several times before a show and have never had issues with my presets what so ever. I would like to think that common sense takes precedence over anything before performing something such as a "hack" on equipment. Any leads on who might have your property? Thank you for the heads up.

  • nice sounds bro, hey how good is that roland kc 500? do you know if theres a major difference between the kc 500 and the 550? is the 500 pretty loud?

  • @Michoacano530 The KC550 is ported for bass. I don't know why that is because the bass response is excellent on the kc500. The KC500 is VERY loud. I don't know of any other differences. You can remove the wheels on both models. I take the back ones off so it tilts. I will never use another keyboard amp as long as this one holds up. If it dies, I will get another one.

The Hammond XK3c sounds beautiful through it. : )

  • I'm waiting for an XK-1 to be delivered. The xk-1 has similar drivers to the xk-3c, and the manual describes the sounds you mention in your video. Could there be more hidden voices in the XK-1? Or could they already be unlocked? Thanks.

  • @SlowHandism As far as I know, the ones hidden in the xk3 are the ones available in the xk1. You will LOOOOVE the XK1.

  • I canot get them to work, I get to the place where I can see them but they don't play, anyone have details?

    Thanks

  • I cannot make them work. I can see them but they don't activate, Pleas anyone details?

    Thanks

  • @JTcheatwood thanks for the feedback, yeah if you say it sounds the same pretty much, there's no need to pay por $ for it i guess, I have trouble with the monitors sometimes during live performance, would this amp take care of my problem? I mean, I can pretty much have my boards as loud as I want and hook the amp to the mixer and get stereo sound out to the dance floor right? Is that the main purpose for this?
