Rachel tells Felicia they need to talk, so they sit down. Felicia asks Rachel what's on her mind, and Rachel replies the show (meaning Felicia's show). Felicia tells Rachel how happy she is that they're working together, especially now. Rachel tells Felicia that she wants only what's best for Felicia, and Felicia replies that she knows that and tells Rachel to go ahead. Rachel wants to discuss Felicia's recent interview with Perry Marlin. She saw the tape, and Felicia took a lighter approach than they had originally agreed upon; Felicia was supposed to ask hard-hitting questions, but she went with the lighter approach instead, and Rachel suggests that next time Felicia wants to make a change like that, she run it by Rachel first. Felicia asks why, because it went fine, and the interview is over now anyway. Rachel then point blank asks Felicia, "Is the show too much for you?" Felicia says of course it isn't too much for her. Rachel says she knows how much stress Felicia is under, and she just doesn't want the show to be too much. Felicia asks if Rachel is really talking about the other way around, since Rachel really has her hands full these days balancing Cory Publishing, the new station, and all the things happening with Jamie. Rachel says she's not here to talk about that. Then Rachel gets down to the nitty gritty: Felicia's been coming in late a lot, and the tapings have been delayed. Felicia says that happens to all talk shows. Rachel adds that the ratings are down, and Felicia is way over budget because of all the overtime. Felicia says maybe if Rachel didn't get her guests like Perry Marlin, that wouldn't happen. Then Felicia cuts Rachel off, saying that she doesn't have time for lunch because she has a deadline for Rachel's other business, so why don't they talk about this some other time. Rachel agrees and leaves the table, and Felicia returns to work at her typewriter with an unhappy look on her face. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
