My Love, Gone Missing Ch. 11

Wow... I have like a habit of posting once every 2 weeks... Anyways... I can't post for a while cuz I have finals to study for. And I have writer's block.

(Joe's POV)
"And then there was me.", I muttered to myself. I went into Madi's room. "Hello children!", I called out as I strode in there. Haley and Nick let go of each other. Haley smirked, "Hello children? You really need help." Nick dropped his gaze to Madi. I patted Nick's shoulder. "Nick, chill. She's gonna be fine." Nick looked up, a fire flaming in his eyes. "Joe, look at her! How can you honestly think she'll be fine!?! She better be okay! I love her..." He calmed down a little and looked at me with watery eyes. "Joe, you still have Haley. If Madi's gone, I have no one." Haley shook her head, "No Nick. You have to believe she'll be alright. If you give up hope, then all hope is lost for a better tomorrow. You love her and you have to believe that she'll always love you and that she fight till the end. Trust me I know." Joe stared at her, "You see! That's what I was saying except it coming from her sounds more smarter." Nick smiled a little, "Yea, Joe... coming from you nothing makes sense." I grinned, "So you gonna believe?" Nick looked down at Madi, "Yea I will. Anything for her." I smiled, "There's Nicky!!! Now I have this great idea--" Haley started cracking up, "Nicky?!?!? Oh that just sounds retarded!" I tried to talk but Haley's laughter just covered it up so I waited until she finished. That took a while. Nick started protesting as soon as she finished laughing. "Hey! Haley, it's not funny!" Haley smiled, "Uhh... Yah, it is." And then that went on until I finally had enough. "GUYS! ZIP IT! Haley I needa talk to you." Haley glanced at me, "Aren't you already talking to me Joseph?" I groaned in exasperation. "Seriously, Haley... In private." Haley smirked, "No-pe. Nick can hear what ever you wanna say... That is of course, unless you're embarassed." Ookay... She is REALLY getting on my nerves today. "Listen, Hayls. I'm sorry... about everything that happened. You're a really amazing girl and any guy would lucky to even get to know you. And I really am really, really sorry." I hugged Haley and whispered, "And I love you..." I pulled away and began to walk out of the room. "Wait, Joe!", Haley called from behind me. "I love you too." There were tears in her eyes and she ran into my arms. I held her close to me and gently kissed her. I didn't want to let go, afraid that another chance like this would never happen. But then a nurse came in and cleared her throat. We let go of each other blushing. The nurse's face were red and said, "Umm... Sorry. But err... visiting hours are over and we need all visitors to leave now." We nodded and then headed out the door hand in hand. We were 2 steps from the door when Haley went, "Oh wait!" and dropped my hand. She ran back into the hospital room and came back out 5 minutes later dragging Nick and saying, "C'mon Nicky! It's time to go! Visiting hours are over!"

{On the way home in Kev's car}
(Kevin's POV)
I stopped at a red light and then turned around and found Joe and Haley all cuddly and happy. And then... Nick. Gloomy, upset, sad Nick. In the seat next to me Pam tugged my sleeve and told me that it was a green light again so I turned back around. Pam seemed to know who I was looking at and asked, "Nick, are you alright? You've been awfully quiet." A fire seemed to be burning in Nick's heart. Very rudely he replied, "How would you feel if Kevin was almost about to die?" Pam stayed quiet as if she was thinking and then said, "Nick, we all love Madi. We're all like family. But we KNOW that Madi's not going to surrender. She's strong Nick. She'll make it through this. She won't stop fighting. YOU have to believe in her. And I know that Madi loves you and wouldn't want you ruining your life because of this." From the way she hesitated, I knew that she didn't believe her words too much either. All I hoped was that Nick believed her. All his moping really hurt me. My lil brother was hurting and I couldn't really help too much. Oh please Madison, please stay strong. I wouldn't be able to bear living with Nick if she you know moved on...
