Here I continue from where I left off and complete 5-4, 6-4, and 7-4 with the highest score I found possible.

I didn't do 8-4 yet and honestly I don't know how to go about doing it since it has unlimited score potential, and jumping on koopas over and over again would be boring so I dunno...maybe I'll think of some way to make it entertaining.

  • you don't get scores though if you keep getting one-ups though do you? Would the plan just be to reset the combo if possible to get a higher accumulative score?

  • @electricmaster23

Something like that, I don't know exactly how all of the koopa shell manipulation works hence why I like to TAS levels without them. I'd suck at timing all that correctly with the clock finishing the level with 0.000001 sec left and such anyway.

  • 1ups give points in Challenge mode. 1up mushrooms are worth 2000 points, and 1ups from the Koopa-stairs trick are worth 10000 (but then the shell destroys itself so you can't get more).

  • Out of curiosity, would these scores be any better if you used left+right? Technically, it is possible to pull off in the actual game (using two controllers and a Game Boy Player for the Gamecube).

  • @Darkemperor91 ...in 7-4, forgot say it in previous post.

  • Btw, how is this yoshi´s egg taking possible?

I tried that quite much, but don´t success do that style =/

  • @PersonOnEarth hehe, that's ok, you could always edit the recording of the koopa jumping to be like 4 times as fast so it won't be as boring to watch. I for one, don't expect frame perfection in these videos, just a proof of concept is all. I watch TAS's for entertainment, that's all. Good luck, anyway.

  • Great records. It seems that console records are possible to beat by pretty much, also 7-4 is better than console record.
