@kamostheminotaur No Achilles was 'apparently' the son of the sea nymph Thetis, nymphs are immortal I think, but not gods as such. And the ending of Troy isnt wrong, the movie is supposed to be a realistic version, like how it would have happened.

@robelwell88 Hey robewell, the movie is supposed to be realistic but it isn't The war lasted 10 years first of all, not 12 days :) Homer tells the story (as a greek ofcourse) without much sentiment for the characters. There are hundreds of small errors, like Achilles landing first on the beach, Paris warning his father to burn the horse, Achiles falling in love with the girl and others. But it's a good movie, let's just hope that everyone at some point reads Iliada for his own benefit cheers

@arikat1 Well realistic in a sense that theres no mythological elements involved. Also i'm sure in the iliad achilles does love the girl, but i dont think she has the same name as in the movie. Anyway, the movie says 'based' on the iliad, not 'this movie is a direct representation of homers iliad to every last detail' lol

@kamostheminotaur Achilles mother was a nymph, the text say is a goddes because is a nymph(inmortal).

In the movie the only inmortal that appears is thetis.
