Net neutrality is a principle which advocates no restrictions by Internet service providers or governments on consumers' access to networks that participate in the internet. Specifically, network neutrality would prevent restrictions on content, sites, platforms, the kinds of equipment that may be attached, or the modes of communication.

I wish the government would regulate your spelling

"This government regulation will protect against government regulations" how the fuck did you manage to doublethink that? That takes some amazing skill.

and that is why the freemarket works so well. but, most people are way too stupid to understand this very simple concept. it doesnt matter how corrupt or powerful a company is, if the consumer refuses to buy a product, they will have to do what the consumer wants or face bankruptcy.

its so silly people think they need the government for this. its very simple, if half of all the internet user's opted out of the internet until they stopped allowing big corporations to buy bandwidth, they would have to adhere to our demands. why? we are the consumers. we pay for their service, if they refuse to offer it, they will go broke and have no service, and another company willing to meet the needs and demands of its customers will open.

What part of "They (your ISP) are not allowed to touch what is inside of those pipes. Actually, they are. It's their service." do you not understand? I can already tell. It's the part in parenthesis and the part where it says that it's theirs and doesn't belong to you or the government.

You're misinterpreting that statement. They're stating that they aren't allowed to discriminate based on CONTENT. The bandwidth and speed of the data being transferred is still completely negotiable with the ISP now, and would continue to be under Net Neutrality.

Net Neutrality seeks to prevent discrimination of web content based on that and that alone: CONTENT.

0:50 "They (your ISP) are not allowed to touch what is inside of those pipes." Actually, they are. It's their service. Please quit trying to drag government control into this with Net Neutrality. These regulations are stealing money from other people's pockets which is inherent to the system. People will simply not buy that service anymore if their ISP is messing with their internet.

Those "pipes" are owned by ISP's. They can do whatever they want with them. If you don't like how a particular ISP provides you with internet, then don't buy it from that company. Net neutrality is bullshit!

Might I suggest you find examples of free market policies leading to the disasters you falsely attribute to them?
