A better recording of the song I uploaded last week. Made some good use of a pair of scissors, a wine glass, a handful of change, and an old whistle.

For those who didn't catch the last video, this is a song about the capitalist mode of production, derived from the insights of Karl Marx in Capital, Volume 1. I don't claim to support these views. I just thought it would be fun to write a song to help me remember some of the key themes.

The music is from the Avett Brothers' song "The Ballad of Love and Hate."

I hope you all enjoy. I'll upload an mp3 soon...

I don't own any of the pictures linked in the video. They were all found off of google images.

  • You're a great storyteller, Galen. I'm sure Marx never thought he'd inspire a song :)

  • @RevelingInReverie Thanks Karen! It was a lot of fun. Although I'm sure Marx had plenty of Commie folk tunes back in the day! How have things been?

  • awesome idea with the scissors! good stuff man.. good stuff.

  • @shawnruby Glad you liked it Shawn! How are things going for you? Hope all's well.

  • Very good friend, it reminds me Mark Knopfler's songs from 'Kill to get crimson', listen to it if you don't know this album!!
