I like your video.I was in the British Merchant Navy from Aug 17th 1955 to May 20th 1970.My first ship was the Bloemfontein Castle,I was a laundry boy, then went to the U.C.L. catering school to train as a waiter. The best years of my life,I used to love the fact that I was travelling the world and getting paid for it and getting a good suntan as well.I also sailed on N.Z shipping co,Shaw Saville,Blue Star,Royal Mail, P.& O., Cunard, all 3 Queens, did cruising too.Great memories.

Good video, some old timers there (the ships, I mean!!) sadly just a distant memory now, quite a transition I imagine from the Bank Line Liberty ship (Kelvinbank) to the regular liner voyages with Union Castle!! Never got on a Union Castle ship, nor Bowater's, but spent weeks anchored off Tanga waiting for a berth on 'Clan Boats'!!
Still plenty of BBQ's on the beach to make up for it....happy days, thanks for the memories!
