Such a shame..to let Mercury die a slow death....once beautiful cars, great names (Mercury Cougar, the god of speed & a gorgeous feline)......and classy commercials we've not seen since(especially the ones' for Cougar!). Shame on you, FoMoCo.!!!!!!

I think that the bail out was a bad deal for Americans as we still have to pay too high of a price for American made products. Union workers get way too much money and us poor folks pay the price. Lets get the Republicans to ship their auto assembly jobs to China and then we can afford to buy American name brand cars. I lost my job to China, why not the Auto workers and make them work for minimum wage?

Mercury kept changing its product names and moving them around in size so you couldn't be a loyal product buyer. Symbols, slogans and everything else - changed for the sake of change. I guess thats the Obama connection. It felled damnit

@straightedge442 Yeah right .... nobody was forced!! They flashed $3500-$4500 in front of stupid people's faces.... they were not forced! I am sure many of them wouldn't have traded their car in if that money was not offered! It was Obama's program...and everyone involved who chose to do it was stupid!
