Georgia on My Mind
Written by: Stuart Gorrell
Composed by: Hoagy Carmichael

Georgia, Georgia, the whole day through
Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind.
Georgia, Georgia, a song of you
Comes as sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines.

Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you.

Georgia, Georgia, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind.

Melodies bring memories
That linger in my heart
Make me think of Georgia
Why did we ever part?

Some sweet day when blossoms fall
And all the world's a song
I'll go back to Georgia
'Cause that's where I belong.

  • Guess what, Bubba- no matter where you're from, or which state song video you're spamming, racist liars like you are not looked on favorably by a lot of people, including me. Go away and leave the less bigoted population of Earth alone. You are a disgrace to the entire South, you bigoted swine.

  • I want to seethe REAL - Georgia flag flying high!!!

  • @kaizersolze Deal with it.

  • @kaizersolze "Only because he was born in the state"

No. Fuck you. They never did that. Ignorant is defined as "Discourteous or rude". You are being Rude by Insulting Georgia. I'm defending it. Yeah, and I found the last answer to you question. The Ignorant Fuckhead is YOU. Not me. Dumb ass. Go Die in a Hole.

  • @AlabamaSoldier So Georgia's blacks, Asians, and Hispanics want to be represented by an ugly "X" or this rag? GA isn't all white anymore (thankfully).

  • @coolcatevan9 Um, dumbfuck, Georgia only changed its state song to "Georgia on My Mind" because Ray Charles was born in Georgia. It wasn't written for the state. It was written about a girl named "Georgia". Who's the "Ignorant Fuckhead" now (hint: it's the one that's still defending Georgia)?

  • @kaizersolze No they wouldn't. You say nobody would want to. Why are these Beautiful Anthems Written then? Your Losing a Battle that was meant to be lost for you in the fist place you Ignorant Fuckhead.

  • @coolcatevan9 Sure they are. You must be smoking the crack. No one would voluntarily choose to live in those three states. Even if they did, within a few months, they'd be dying to get out.

  • @kaizersolze Shut the Fuck up. Don't Diss Georgia, Mississippi, or Maryland. These are Great States you Ignorant Crack Head.

  • Cool song! :) greetings from nj.

  • God, I'd kill to go back to Liberty County.

  • I've been to Georgia...the STATE not the Country...and I spent a long time in Ft. Stewart, Home of the 3rd Infantry Division, and some time in Savannah...and no it's not haunted you psychotic ghost freaks...i've been to every place rumored to be haunted and hell no they weren't. Savannah FTW!
