  • You are absolutely fantastic, thank you so much! But a question -- how do you keep the back of your hand from smudging the image?

  • @theHighlyClassified Thank you for your comment and your interest in my work. I use a sheet of cartridge paper under my hand to protect the picture, I also work my paintings from top to bottom this also avoids smudging. Best regards Colin.

  • Hi Colin, are these the Faber Castell pitt pastels you're using? If so how do you get them to blend so well, mine do blend but they don't appear to be as soft and when I add onto the top of a colour they don't seem to work as well. Thanks, Clare

  • @MsBrightone Hi Care Thank you for your comment. I am using Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils and also for all the work you see on this site. You might be interested in my website and facebook page where there is a wealth of information and more videos. Best regards Colin.

  • Thanks for the info on the make of pastel pencils Colin. The ones I bought are far too hard, and they are pretty near useless!

    Nice artwork..

  • Thank you I'll go take a look at these sites...although art I have worked with for years....computers still baffle me so it will probably take me a while to work out how to use these websites :)Thanks for your reply,

    Clare

  • @roselinabonnie1997 No, you would need to have the pastel for the colours to merge together. Kind regards Colin.

  • would this work for regular colored pencils

  • @jcJI11 Thank you for your kind comment. Best regards Colin.
