Thank you for posting this video! I was unable to open my safe due to another defect that the product has. After slamming it on concrete floor, I was able recover lots of money, jewelry and my pride and joy handgun. I am going to return this product as soon as possible.

@FBman42 I was thinking the same thing. In the video, it does not appear that he reset the combination to a locked position. I'm curious to know if it is then reset to a locked position whether it will still pop open as demonstrated. Prompt reply would be appreciated because I've been thinking about picking up one of these on sale today.

I have one of these safes. i just tried it and that trick does work! You dont have to drop it that hard to make it open, just lay it on its side and and lift then drop the door side and bingo! Doors open! I also banged both sides with my hands at the same time and it popped open! Other then this little defect, its a good little safe for your money

Don't get push button safes!!! You can jump the cylenoide on all of them, period....

lol

safes are to keep honest people from stealing your guns

I saw another vid of some guy smacking the door real quick with his knuckle and it popped open. I thought he was just some schmuck who got a defective safe and now I see that someone else has a similar prob with the latch mechanism so know I won't be buying one anytime soon.

@mike13baker does this safe already have holes to be bolted down to? i know i probaly woulnt have bolted my safe down if i wouldnt of seen this video...i dont have a safe yet but im going to get one, so i wont have to take my guns with me everywhere...lol, really i want a rifle safe tho....even if you did have it doleted down.....a crow bar and a hammer would pop it right open i bet..pos
I personally own 5 of these safes and have them all mounted as instructed....either bolted to the wall or a shelf. I am unable to open by beating with a rubber mallet. Seems like this person failed to read the instructions. For the price, they are great vaults! After looking at who posted this, it appears that it was a competitor (Gun Vault)....sad way to do business!

i don't beleive showing the faultyness of a product is sad business practice. im a gun owner as well as a business owner and i hate to see my gun rights taken away by faulty trigger locks and so called safety products that are knowingly unsafe. yes safes are recommended to be bolted down but in reality we see less than 5% of safe owners doing such a thing. cars are not suppose to drive head on into other cars, but don't you want to know if your car is safe if it did happen?
