settlements aren't the only reason. a huge reason is US support for israel's aggression for the past 30 years. i'm all for providing humanitarian aid [not military, although this is one case where i might actually support military intervention to stop the violation of human rights there] even when it's very two-faced to be selling israel weapons for a genocide and then offering aid to the oppressed. though it would make more sense to end the aggression and end our support of it.

She sounds an awful lot like Obama speaking on Bush and torture with the whole look forward not back at the crimes that may have been committed rhetoric. I thought this administration campaigned on holding people accountable, O yeah they are politicians, they promise peace and freedom and hope until they get into office and then they bomb Pakistan and hyper-inflate the economy and begin undermining our bill of rights.
