@LavenderBlume Was I talking about Vic? No, I was talking about morons like you on YouTube.

@brandontylerbooth Vic isn't telling people what to believe, you jackass. He's describing his own experience. If that rubs you the wrong way then you're the one who isn't being honest or respectful.

RIP Vic

please youtube delete all those stupid comments and give this peace of art the recognition it deserves. what a soulful interpretation and a great musician!

if in interprete the discussion well, Christianity is all about having no respect whatsoever for the death, and having no respect whatsoever for other people's feelings

Vic Chesnutt is........who needs icons...this is about self......nothing else,no religion,no god.....its about..wake up..its about ..open your eyes..he is saying there is more to life than just living... OK now shut the fuck up and just enjoy his genius.

I'll take the time to be 100% honest here with both sides. Going around blowing Atheism out of your ass is just as disrespectful as someone forcing their religion on someone else. Let everyone believe what they want to believe and stop being so critical, and disrespectful.
he was using his body just as a temporary place to have a break from his astral travels... now he is there were he always wanted to be. RIP Vic Chesnutt

Vic was raised in Pike County, GA in a family full of born-again Christians. He loved them deeply but decided at an early age that he did NOT share their religious beliefs. I don't think he ever wavered from this. To quote Vic, "The idea of divine order is essentially crazy". "I'm not a victim...I am intelligent...I am an atheist", off his 1st album. Off his last, "I don't need stone altars/to help me hedge my bet/against the looming blackness/that is what it is."
RIP Vic, brave soul.
