Made in Blender 3D. Test render of architectural render of a house that exist in Houston Texas. It was a childhood friends of mine that I always admired the architecture, and just general setup of.

I have not been in it for over 20 years, so this is all from memory, but coming along....I was about 8 the last time I was there.

Planning to do a full render including furniture, landscaping, pool and etc. Currently testing with and without "edges" you'll notice some shots with and some without...THIS IS A VERY PRIMATIVE AND EARLY MODEL. Makes it easier to see corrections needed and creates a 'to do' list for me. Lighting will be setup last. Generic lighing has been setup so far, and wanting to limit skinning...prefer to model and not use skins. Makes it more realistic. House is located in Northwest Houston in a neighborhood called Huntwick.

  • I've started with sketchup few month ago, than discoverd blender, but I'm still using sketchup to make some models very quickly and export them to blender.Would like to see more of your work, because I'm just working on furniture models.I've uploaded some tutorials here few days ago,if you have a minute check it out and let me know your opinion.Thanks.

  • cool. will definitely check them out.

Finishing up on a Cafe I did in blender for an animated series. Hoping to post a tour of the cafe...in the animation, buildings, furniture and etc. are done in blender, and characters and layered in after created in flash. I have a few old blender animations up.

  • To make this in sketchup would be much easier than the same(your model)result in blender, that's where i have to agree with enatomx. But,giving blender a bad wrap?No way!Good job man.

  • Thanks for the compliment phillozoph50.

I'm use to Blender, and havn't used Sketchup before. This was a napkin drawing, quick project I threw together....been caught up with other projects, and may one day finish it. Plan on adding furniture, lighting, exteriors and etc..and do a much better render. Wasn't looking to offend other Blender users, just wanted to share a very premature version of a project in progress, even if it is currently on the back-burner.

  • did any 1 notice youtube is updated today?

  • sorry to offend your sensitive eyes there...this is an old model, and if you were to read the description for it..."THIS IS A VERY PRIMATIVE AND EARLY MODEL." ...that goes for the render as well. This was not meant to offend blender's rep, or it's users. This was merely a "rough model" for a future project as I was trying to remember a floor plan from many years ago.

  • Very cool.
