Demo record test =) How to:
- In the DoD Source console:
1. Record the demo:
record demo_filename
2. Stop recording:
stop
3. Convert the "demo_filename.dem" to a bunch of TGA files + WAV file, by using the commands:
(first set the resolution to 640x480, unless you have lots of GB's of free space)
host_framerate 30
startmovie video_filename
playdemo demo_filename
4. Once the demo ends type:
endmovie
- In VIRTUALDUB:
If you arent familiar with CODEC's' proceed in virtualdub as follows (otherwise... you known!):
1. Click File-Open video and select the first TGA file;
2. Click Audio-"Wave Audio" and select the WAV file;
3. Click Video-"Normal Recompress";
4. Click File-"Save As..."
Now you have a huge RAW AVI file!
Open this file in the "Windows Movie Maker", select "Save Movie File" and follow the wizard!
This will ends with a compressed AVI file which can be uploaded to youtube! :D

The .dem file is stored in the folder: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\USERNAME\day of defeat source\dod
Notice this .dem file is not a movie file... You must proceed with the conversionb (steps 3, 4 and so on....)
You need the virtualdub to create the RAW AVI file (HUGE FILE) and therefore convert to a normal AVI file (encode) using moviemaker or other software (i.e. VLC can do this also - aka videolan)
