  • I've said it before and I'll say it for the umpteenth time, Karen has one of the best female pop voices of all time, I say "has" because to me she is still alive in her songs, there is no comparison and there won't be for eons to come.

  • @wolfstev76 I'm scared of anyone who thinks Justin Bieber is a musical prodigy

and who think the Carpenters are too "tame". Those people need medical help.

  • voice of an angel!!

  • Think this song was written by their guitarist Tony Peluso.

  • @rsvy913688How I wish that somebody would do a "Mamma Mia" sort of musical but this time using Carpenters songs. There are simply too many beautiful Carpenters signature songs that could also make a storyline with perhaps "Sometimes" as the last piece. Sorry Abba fans. I like Abba songs but I like Carpenters music more.

  • this particular song is my favorite of the carpenters. around 2:10 and until 2:40, the oboe and strings really kick in...and because karen died so young, to me, this part of the song picks up an ethereal bordering on angelic quality. makes me sad and happy at the same time. sad that she was sick for so long and died young, happy that she was here in the first place.

  • karen was simply the greatest

  • @gerrymoran1 1983 was a year of young women's deaths for famous people. Jessica Savitch was another one who died that year in October. I liked her.

  • @Percymony February next month is the memorial of her death. In 2013 her 30th year of passing. It will be very sad. I hope there is some large tribute show to her on that day in 2013. I have asked a lot of young people if they heard of the Carpenters and they thought I meant Carpenters who build homes! They have no clue who they were. Sad isn't it?

  • There are people who can imitate Karen but not really sound exactly because she is one of a kind.

  • Karen forever forever forever forever.......
