ich bèn gek op dé minjs mit zien fluitje

veural op 't fluitje dan hé :)

  • The beautifull thing about a song like this is it is not bound by race, gender or borders. Everyone no matter where he/her is from can acknowledge the beauty and serenty this song radiates. the pure sounds of a flute like that brings a tear to my eye.

Just look at the effect it has on the people in the audience, you see them being moved each in their own way. Memories of great times, hopes for better times and love for one another. In one word beautifull!

    Kind regards from Holland

  • another beautiful recording by Andre

  • Friedrich von Flotow uses the song in his opera "Martha," premiered in 1847 in Vienna. It is a favorite air ("Letzte Rose") of the character Lady Harriet. It is a popular Irish tune. However, the section between 2:20 & 3:11 is a completely different tune. It is like a trio in a minuet, a middle section or transition. I don't think this is part of the original song. I am not even sure it is in the opera Martha. My question is where this tune come from originally.

  • @jesper2610 The movie is on YouTube.....The Phantom Of The Opera (1943) Part 1

  • @SmithPie96 In the old movie "The phantom of the Opera" (Universal 1943) ist play (solo-arie)in the beginning....i think its from the opera MARTHA, but not 100% sure.
