Organist Bob Swift Plays William Boyce

After more than three decades concertizing as church organist, my recitals were curtailed in 2004 due to a handicapping "low vision" eye condition. Yesterday, nearly three years later, I persevered to return to the concert venue with a full program of English organ works performed on a 60-rank instrument in Richmond, Virginia. This is an sample of William Boyce ... his Larghetto and Allegro from the Voluntary #4 in G Minor.

I tried (and tried) to position the unmonitored camera to include the pedal clavier as well. Impossible! Glad to be able to offer the view of all three manuals.

I just played Boyce's "Ye Sweet Retreat" for my prelude last Sunday - Virgil's arrangement which I absolutely love. I was wondering if you might play that one and post it. I love playing it, it is a favorite of mine. I'd like to look at some of the fingering as you play it. Some of those chords can be a stretch, as you know. LOL
