  • It's been a while, but I think the corners and the columns along the sides of the windows and doors are poured with the rebar inside, which connects to the horizontal poured cement beams all around the house to make it sturdier for earthquakes and such. But, like I said, it's been a while.

  • Why do they not interlock the concrete blocks in the corners when building here in Costa Rica. It seems to be a typicle building practice here to pour the corners.
