Possibly one of the funniest scenes ever in On The Buses and pure slapstick. Full marks to Doris Hare for being such a sport although this was clearly a well rehearsed team effort that would have worked equally well on stage..
Doris Hare was sister of Robertson Hare, better known for his role as the sherry-drinking Archdeacon in "All Gas and Gaitors" - the ecclesiastical sitcom which ran from 1966 to 1971. Sadly only a few episodes remain of that particular series - criminal quite honestly.
Episode "Union Trouble" - written by Ronald Wolfe and
Ronald Chesney. Anna Karen (in the glasses) is the only surviving member of the cast seen here.
@applemac555 Your right, the basic white British/American/Western Family doing stuff together has almost become politically incorrect !

Really interesting that Doris Hare was the sister of Robertson Hare. I didn't know that and I watched him in an episode of 'All Gas & Gaiters' the other day.

@afertyus1000 it wouldn't be shown today as it doesnt 'celebrate diversity'; no gay people, people in wheelchairs, no feminists or asylum seekers.
