Taylor grew up on a Christmas ree farm in Reading PA, moved to nashville when she was older, and no, she didn't have many friends (the song 'the best day' comes from her friends playing tricks on her)

@Danielle81895 Yeah, poor Taylor was picked on in school. Jr. High ( year 7-9 for non-US). She also wrote " The Outside " for the same reason, talking about who she felt alone and out of place.
