Shallow water spearfishing in Northern Atlantic part 1 (check part 2 - fishing with single tip)

It's not a real spearfishing video. I take my speargun with me under water occasionally when I'm using the camera, but at the same time I want to get some fresh fish for my table. Usually I hold the camera in my right hand and the speargun in my left when I take pictures, but when I see the fish I'd like for dinner -- I switch hands. As you can imagine it's not easy to aim both devices at same time to the same target accurately. Usually I don't miss fish, but my left hand with the camera moves too much. In rocky underwater environment I usually use 5 prongs tip to save the spear. It holds fish perfectly if you shoot fish in the head or in the back. Of course, this tip can be used for medium size fish only, I would say up to 3-4 kg of weight. Normally I need not more than 2-3 kg fresh fish for my family dinner, so it suits me perfectly. I use a single tip when I'm fishing for bigger fish like seabass, but at this moment I have no videos with single tip hunting. Episodes in this video were recorded on a few different days in different locations.

I do fish mullet sometimes, and I cook it without any fat and I add a lemon after. Bass likes shallow and sandy places. I use 70cm pneumatic speargun, it's powerful and accurate.
I open wrasse from the back, clean it (I don't remove scales), put salt, mayo, some herbs and spices, cover it with foil and cook it in the oven or on the barbeque. Than more fresh fish is -- than better test! It has no bones and meat is very tender and juicy.

Hey, I'm an angler myself but what size of table does he have? There is such a thing called unnessacry waste + the fact that the many wrasse he's killing are not young. Always respect your quarry, but thanks for the info anyway.

Something that I would look into is getting like a Hi-Def head cam so you could easily target the fish your going after and still get some good footage if you so desired.

@rambos2ndcousin Again, I spent a year collecting those episodes. About size: I was trying to kill size which will suit my family table. If you scroll down you'll find comments where different people critisizing me for killing too small fish... Who's right?
