I heard Andy Bey singing "Like a Lover" first of all and I can´t really listen to any other version after that, I miss hearing his voice, his mastery, his mature artistry.

This is music! This is art! Bey is a great jazz vocalist....with an intense manner and depth of interpretation....rarely seen today. Cool....REALLY cool! Thanks for the post.

WOW listen to this man's velvet and rich voice!

Did you know he was a child prodigy; he started playing clubs at 5, at 12 years old he performed at the Apollo Theater with Louis Jordan.

My favorite male-singer. Listen to the CD "Chilling with Andy Bey". Lacky

This song is 'Like a Lover' in English, but it is also known under the Brazilian title, 'O Cantador,' by the Brazilian Dori Caymmi, whatever the title.

AMAZING! The rebirth of Billy Eckstine!

Such deep sustained emotion and seemingly effortless artistry. He IS a national treasure.
When I saw him at Les Lilas, just outside Paris, he came on stage wearing long hair, and pausing slightly after introducing the other musicians, said,"...And I'm Little Richard" ! I almost died laughing.
The music was exceptional for the whole evening, from 'Caravan' to 'I Remember April' to 'Never Let Me Go,' which was so intense my husband actually cried!

One of the most amazing vocalists, in jazz or any other musical genre. During 2004, his CD "American Song," was one of the few jazz recordings to be featured in the Reviews section of People Magazine.
