But now, a personal thanks to TM900 and OK901 for there help in the tests, and seems that the radio works well with the 4w setting and from what could hear my side on the monitor radio the audio was indeed cracking. Not many places use AM but it still has a home. Thanks Paul and Caine, thanks a lot. And of course Ian from Hull, cheers for the report and you were sounding excellent here too, and sure you will hear it. The roger bleep via the speaker is a "test" so say and you need enable the bleep before. The mike, they took the cheap option and have cancelled the buttons from the top of the mike so not any up/dwn option on this radio. But the audio is excellent, and President head back to the day when there AM radios were something special and not radios with the blowing finals, poor sounding FM and god awful channel bleeps that was on the Walker!!

Thanks for the comment, Harry III could be here end of this week thanks to Markus Neuner as he has found me the radios and before November when the radio really should appear.. So, maybe this weekend or early next week there could be something. Hints already received are the FM audio and receive is excellent too.....

Hi Ralf, not any external s-meter socket, would cost them an extra euro but there is an extra VOX mike socket. Tell you what, works well gotto say!! Thanks for the comment. 73s Simon

Come on man, give a fair radio report, you are not telling him that his kit all needs to be tossed in the bin if you say it's readability three to four with heavy QRN.

Hi Simon the radio is a ranger 2950dx on a four element beam still getting to grips with the beam but im still doing ok with it. I'v got to make do for now as the beam replaced the serio 827 hope to get that back up shortly as it works very well 73's Ian.
