  • You need a whole lot more than 6-12 inches of cinder block to stop gamma radiation. The halving thickness of concrete is 6 inches. Cinder block are hollow. A single-layer cinder block wall gives you less than one-third of one halving-thickness.

  • thats a nice window with full sun below ground.....

  • i caint believe how many views this dumb video has lol

  • @WhindSoull just to be on the safe side i'd use a meter :P

  • @xTHEORPHANx

Lead has a density of 11.3 g/cm^3. That gives it a halving-thickness of 0.4 inches. The standard level of protection for a fallout shelter is a protection-factor (PF) of 1000, or ten halving-thicknesses. That means that 4 inches of lead is needed to provide safe protection from gamma radiation (99.9% blockage). A meter of lead would be a bit overkill!

  • @WhindSoull u need 1 meter of lead to stop gamma

  • this is crap. u suk. not funny nor educational
