how did you get the battle to start? ive made loads of these maps before but when i click start in gem editor nothing happens. Do you know why?

@RandomDude751 That's a bit strange, all I did to get the battle to start was click start. I had a mission loaded rather than just a map however.

I know it's unlikely you have this map anymore, but if you happened to have saved it would you be able to upload it?, I am completely useless when it comes to placing water in the MOW editor.
