Friendship, brotherhood, listening, speaking, understanding.
My dear cousin, Juan R. Urrusti Frenk a.k.a. John Ralph, from Sour Soul (by the way, congratulations, my brothers), and me.
"The Long Road to Clyad" refers to a unique characteristic, which only life has...
Total unpredictability!!!!!!
hence the changes in the mood and rythm of the tune.
Life is always surprising us, and if we are able to adapt to the always changing reality (at least the part we can see), then our days may be longer (and happier, that's for sure).
It refers to flaws and mistakes too, for we will have a lot of them scattered all over our personal and collective history; in the same way, we made mistakes when we were playing; nevertheless, it's worth to try to keep up with the "Song of Life", so when the time comes, in which the song is about to end, we should be able to finish it with a smile on our lips.
This was initially, a tune brought to me by a Muse (that's another nice story...), and then it turned into a living creature, made of different interconnected segments, based on a really simple four-chord melody (and on the spiritual bond between my friend and cousin, and yours truly, of course).
Of course we discussed about some structure for this home-made video, but at the end, we spent the whole time, following each other, without remembering which part came first, or how we would end the melody (and that's particularily noticeable, at the end of the video, when I take the whistle, and then change my mind).
Thanks for watching! (...and reading)
