"noctilucent......what a pretty word. i love the colour of the sky between the sun going down below the horizon and dark in a clear sky. a little past when the first stars appear. it's the most excellent "blue"

The time for ordinary people like me to start looking for these is mid-May to mid-August in the northern hemisphere, 50-70 degrees north. See wiki. Fascinating.
