Modern Beauty Shop - January 1969

Welcome to vintage women's hairstyling. This is a slide show from my original scans of Modern Beauty Shop's January 1969 issue. I kept most of the issues while I was in the business and acquired some earlier issues from my friends, mentors, and fellow professionals. They gave me issues dating back into the 1930s and 1940s because they knew of my keen interest in preserving the heritage of hairstyling. I am scanning them as time permits and carefully cropping the photos down to individual images. Viewers have overwhelmingly told me they prefer this method, rather than scans of whole pages. I listen. What was old is new again and derivations of vintage hairstyles are popular among retro-enthusiasts, wedding stylists, and in historical movies. Enjoy and I appreciate hearing from viewers, answering questions, and getting advice. Thank you. Sorry there is no music. Every time I put a soundtrack with a slide show, I get a nasty gram from the Tube police.
