I don't know, once you've seen Danny Carey playing covers of his own songs on youtube, no one can match him. First bro, you need a better set. Your cymbals sound off, at least on this song. Second, dub your drums over the song, not the other way around.

I abosolutly agree with you that no one can match Danny on his own songs. Regardless of his playing ability, his aptitude for writing such amazing rhythms gives prowess over any who attempt to cover his songs.

In all my mixes, the audio that I've recorded (Jon's playing) is 15-20db louder than the original master. I've found it to be the appropriate balance in order to prevent the song from being burried.

The louder the master, the more accurate Jon's playing must be.

Jon doesn't write the descriptions, I, his older brother do. I'm the one you sometimes see in the background. I record, mix, and produce all that you see. He does the playing, which in my opinion is amazing. I for one wish he were less humble. He thinks he is mediocre at best when I know he is capable of playing whatever song he so chooses.

Absolutely amazing playing - well done and thanks for sharing. My only subtle complaint is that your snare sounds a bit off, but seemingly flawless playing and totally unreal to watch.
